TOWNHILL PARK SOUTHAMPTON
Southampton City Council obtained a hybrid outline consent for the demolition of the existing stock and its replacement with over 650 new homes over multiple phases. The first phase of a wider estate regeneration programme initially provided 50 two-bedroom flats and six three-bedroom houses.
Welling was required to work alongside the contractor in a pre-construction arrangement to develop the design within the constraints of a budget and to obtain detailed planning consent before progressing the works onto the site.
Successful completion of the first phase has seen Welling retain involvement in the project which is now progressing to Phases 2 and 3 which will develop a further 300 units for construction.
