This month, the first group of new affordable homes at Montem Lane, located within walking distance of Slough Town Centre, were successfully completed. Welling is working with SNG (Sovereign Network Group) a long-established existing client and developer Bellway Homes to deliver 74 new homes, all for affordable rent and shared ownership.
The first seven homes for shared ownership were completed in early February, consisting of one- and two-bedroom apartments, each with a balcony or terrace. The modern apartments provide parking with EV charging points and are well-served by local amenities including the main shopping centre. There is easy access to the M4 and Slough Railway Station is less than one mile from the development.
Branded as ‘SNG at Montem’, the affordable homes form part of the wider Montem Square site which is transforming the former leisure centre into a collection of over 200 new homes by Bellway Homes – helping to meet the need for affordable, high-quality homes within the Borough.
Welling is appointed by SNG as the Employer’s Agent/Cost Consultant (lead by Gary Scagell and supported by Moyo Abayomi-Ofarn) and Clerk of Works to manage and monitor the successful delivery of this exciting development.
