Welling Partnership recently celebrated the completion of 43 new affordable homes at the Windsor Close development in Borehamwood, working with Clarion Housing Group and attended by local councillors.

The Windsor Close development replaces 39 derelict properties with a mix of three-bedroom houses and one- and two-bedroom apartments, all for social rent for local families within Hertsmere Borough Council.

The completion of the development was marked with an event attended by key local stakeholders, including Cllr Jeremy Newmark, Leader of Hertsmere Council, and Cllr Alan Matthews, Cabinet Member for Housing and Housing Development. Representatives from Hertsmere Council, developer Bugler Developments, and senior teams from Clarion Housing Group were also present.

Welling’s Gary Scagell, along with members of the project team, toured the completed homes, which feature modern fixtures and sustainable technologies.

Gary Scagell, Employer’s Agent at Welling Partnership, commented: “These homes address a real need for affordable housing in the community, and it has been a pleasure working alongside Clarion Housing Group, Bugler Developments and the wider teams to deliver this project. The strong collaboration throughout this project has been key to its success, and we look forward to continuing our support and expertise to similar schemes in the future.”

Welling acted as Employer’s Agent and Clerk of Works on behalf of Clarion Housing Group to deliver project managing services from inception to completion. This included pre-construction advice regarding budget, design and performance requirements to regular site inspections and progress meetings throughout the build, as well as post-completion project review and feedback.
